Re: [ubuntu-uk] Broadband and hosting reccomendations
I've just migrated to O2's LLU service which costs me £9 per month for upto 20 meg download (I get 13 as an actual speed). Hosting isn't really my area but Web Faction let you pleay arround quite a bit and will let u SSH into the box. They are expensive and they run a falvour of BSD pus the are bassed in Texas. Hope this helps, Neall -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
[ubuntu-uk] Ubuntu Training
I am looking to set-up a small ubuntu training suite / LUG as part of the work I do within my day-job as an IT Manager for a Social Enterprise here in the UK. I would be keen to know what support / advice (if any) the LoCo team could offer on this project. Just to give you some background; I work for a small company, which specialises in the creation of job opportunities for people who would not otherwise have them. We have limited resources and I personally feel that the use of ubuntu and other FOSS technologies could provide our company with a revenue stream if we were to hire out my services / our training facilities to people within our sector.
