Another way of checking is to look at the file time and date stamp on the mirror (which can be found here - http://releases.ubuntu.com/hardy/) The date and time stamp of ubuntu-8.04-desktop-i386.iso is 23rd April 2008 at 2:03am. I've not seen a point release before, so I'm not sure what's going to happen. I think the best bet is to wait for the mail and follow the link within. Does anybody know whether the current iso is now 8.04.1? it was supposed to be released today, but I haven't seen a notice, and it's not at all obvious how you'd tell!
