Hi,

I set up ubuntu on someones pc. Im trying to update synaptic but dont
remember what password i set.

Anything i can do?

..logs straight in ubuntu.

It's been a while but I believe if you hold down the Shift key when 
booting (as soon as it gets through the BIOS and loads Grub) you should 
be able to select recovery mode.  As far as I know there is an option on 
there to reset your password.
