[ubuntu-uk] Grauniad tech section: Perhaps Ubuntu

2008-08-30 Thread Josh Blacker
Hi all -

Don't know if anyone else caught sight of this last week, but at the
end of a piece by Charles Arthur on Vista, he writes:

Still, at least there's one ray of hope. Winer only said it [Vista]
has the smell of death about it. When that turns into the stench of
death, it's time to run. Run what? Perhaps Ubuntu. At least it's cheap.

Not the most hearty of recommendations ever, but there we go.

All the best,
Josh

I like it! (Though perhaps six months from now it may get to be a wee
bit too cryptic for safe use on t-shirts?)

I'm not so sure..

If ubuntu was bread, would you use this as your campaign slogen:

Ubuntu - tastes better then charcoal

besides:
1. first rule of advertising - focus on a positive message (not on smearing
the opposition)
2. seriously, how many people do you think read that article and know what
smell of death refers to?

As for my T, I'd like to have Ubuntu, it works, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
