It's great that people test development versions, of course :) it's not great when they say "argh, $release+1 just ate all my hard work!", but thankfully that doesn't happen very often ;) It might be worth using the forums though - you'll probably find more gutsy users in the gutsy form than anywhere else (maybe #ubuntu+1 on freenode) Cheers, -- Chris Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.canonical.com -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UKTeam/

You can run what you like on your computer, they can run what they want and so can I :) You asked for tips, and that was my tip. > > You could try setting the video mode at boot "vga=791" or something > > similar. > > Try booting to an older kernel, or in recovery mode. > > > Tried these but no joy...Heard from the Ubuntu newsgroup others have > suffered but most of them have cleared on the latest upgrade... > Difficult to diagnose without more information. "Don't run bleeding-edge development software if you can't fix it". You could try setting the video mode at boot "vga=791" or something similar. Try booting to an older kernel, or in recovery mode.
