It's not in the middle of nowhere lol It's only 2 or 3 mins walk from Hackney Central railway station which is on the North London line, which the tube connects to at Richmond, Highbury and Islington, Stratford, (a few mins walk from) Camden Town, and other places... I'm certainly keen to try some of their real ales Btw now we're nearing the finishing post I'm seeing some neat little Gutsy improvements/tweaks - opengl screensavers no longer hardlock my system, even with compiz-fusion running, and the start up and shut down sounds have returned - hooray! Hi all, I visited the Pembury Tavern, the venue I suggested for the Gutsy London launch party. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/GutsyReleaseParty It's a nice large pub, one room but with a spur to the right that we could ensconce ourselves in. No music, jukebox or piped; no tv; very good beers reasonably priced. Travel is quite good; no underground nearby but plenty of buses and Hackney Central / Downs overground stations are close.
