[ubuntu-uk] OT: VoIP Headsets
Afternoon All I'm in the process of researching for a USB Headset for use with VoIP on both Windows and Linux. The last time I looked into this, one of our techys at work said that some headsets suffered from low volume into the ear piece and in a noisy environment were hard to hear. Now, I don't mind shelling out a bit over the odds for a set that works, anyone got recommendations / experience? E Hi Ian, Plantronics are considered by many to be _the_ industry standard for headsets. I have four Plantronics headsets and I would have to agree. They are also all recognised in Ubuntu 'out-of-the-box'. Hope this helps. It's usb - just plug it in and it works (though you may of course have to select it in the options settings of the app).
