[ubuntu-uk] Reapproval interview with the LoCo Council tonight, 9PM
Hi all, our LoCo team reapproval is tonight, we have a fair bit done, but if people could review the form and in particular add dates on events, and more inline pictures then that would be fantastic: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/ReApprovalApplication2011 have a look at the California and Arizona applications to see what others have done for today https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoCouncil/Agenda We also need to have as much support as we can during the meeting, which is on IRC, in the #ubuntu-meeting channel at 9PM this evening. hope to see you all there Alan. -- The Open Learning Centre is rebranding, find out about our new name and look at http://libertus.co.uk -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/

Initial impression would be improved by using its. Nit-picking, perhaps, but important for such a document. My admiration goes to you and all the team for making ubuntu a marvelous system. I've introduced it to one or two people as an alternative to broken Windows and no great complaints so far ... On 22/06/11 11:22, Paul Mellors wrote: Hay Alan Do we have a list of things that need doing anywhere? MooDoo well there are two parts to it, stuff we did, and stuff we intend to do. Some of our events are listed here, http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-uk/events/history but that only goes back a year or so, and doesn't include everything, and I am not sure all of the intended events there went ahead. We need to go through that list, add the other events and find blog articles and photos showing what we got up to. Photos are really important, the LoCo council love them. We are basically going back 2 ish years, but there isn't a hard limit on where we stop, if there was something particularly interesting a bit further back. In the stuff we intend to do section we need to expand on items listed here: http://pad.ubuntu-uk.org/2011plan and hopefully add more to it with more detail, and get them listed in the loco directory. We also have https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/TeamReports to refer to Alan. -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
[ubuntu-uk] Reapproval
Hi all, we were about to expire as an approved team, but I got the deadline pushed back to the end of this cycle (it wasn't a special dispensation, we are due for renewal some time before Oneiric gets released). We need to do a load of work on our reapproval application, one of the best ways to get started is to see what other teams are doing. Tonight there is a LoCo Council meeting where they will be reviewing applications from Venezuela https://wiki.ubuntu.com/VenezuelaTeam/ReApproval2011 , Denmark https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DanishTeam/RepprovalApplication2011 , Philippineshttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/PhilippineTeam/ApprovalApplication , Ireland https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IrishTeam/IrishTeamReApprovalApplication and Japan https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JapaneseTeam/ApprovalApplication . It would be great if a number of folk who want to get involved in our reapproval could follow along the meeting in the #ubuntu-meeting channel on freenode http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#ubuntu-meetingprompt=1uio=MTE9MzE28 Thanks, Alan. -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
