Apparently I had to force the upgrade to Alsa 1.0.23 and all is well now ... almost :) How do I make Skype use Alsa instead of PulseAudio? - there's no option to change that in Skype audio devices properties, i.e. only PulseAudio is listed. [ubuntu-uk] Sound problem in Sony Vaio VPCEC1S1E
Does anyone know how to fix the sound problem in Sony Vaio VPCEC1S1E? I've installed the backport alsa generic and can also see backport alsa specific for my kernel, but still no sound. Ubuntu Lucid 64-bit. Any help will be greatly appreciated - only have a couple of days before I have to either keep or return this laptop. -- Cheers, Dave -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
