Is it just the comic app that is crashing? I've had AWN running on Hardy
Alpha/Beta test releases since January without problems, but I don't use
any applets.

Try removing your current applets and adding the AWN testing repo as per:
https://launchpad.net/~awn-testing/+archive

...then install your favourite applets from that repo.

[ubuntu-uk] hardy - first impressions & problems

2008-04-24 Thread Ken Robson
Ok d/l'd the alternate cd to update my x64 systems, it then needed an
additional 650Mb downloaded ... why did I bother with the cd???

After upgrade:-
firefox new beta problems with the mouse & back space not working.
(mouse issues have been reported and is apparently a feature!)

Backspace issue fixed, (set browser.backspace_action to 0) but the
back/forward mouse buttons still aren't working (button's 6&7 on my mouse)
by modifying the mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.action to 2 and the
numlines to 2 I get the mouse buttons working but backwards i.e. back
goes forward!!! *GRRR*

my preferred dock AWN seems to have major issues on hardy and crashes on
the comic app and some others so have disabled it for the moment.
Anybody recommend a dock that works?

Other than that it looks just like 7.10 ;-)

Ken
