[ubuntu-uk] suggest a usb webcam for under £10
Hi all, I have a feeling I may have asked this question before but for the life of me cant find any emails. So Im asking again. :) Can anyone suggest a USB webcam for under £10 that will with my ubuntu machine? The cheaper the better. Obviously the more pixels the better, LED flash a bonus. My current builtin webcam is woeful. I always get complaints of the picture being too dark! Even though it says 5mp, the reviews are saying its more like .3mp during video..Thats putting me off this one! ok maybe im mistaken. Rereading all of the reviews it doesnt seem THAT bad for the price. I use a Logitech C600 for my media PC, as it has a swivel for positioning it to face one part of the room. On a laptop, the C270 was fine. Both can be had for £12-£25 on Amazon, which is above your price but of excellent quality. 720p. No flash, though.
