I have hit that bug as well. It's difficult to reproduce for me. I also noticed that every time it happens my desktop seems to have got itself into a strange state before I shutdown, i.e my volume control applet will turn red and I will lose sound, or something will refuse to open. To go (slightly) off topic, my favourite obscure issue is sometimes, when watching flash movies, the wireless disconnects. Which made youtube a bit a pain to watch.
