To be honest, i do not think you could have got a more gifted and talented
new head. I see him across across many channels and teams - He really is an
outstanding guy.

Alan, well what can I say - except my usual thankyou. You really are a star,
and I am sure ubuntu-uk will continue to flourish under your guidance. If
you ever need any help on admin - you have all of my admin team always
nagging the living daylights out of me for more work. Simply ask. (you'd be
doing me a favour :D )

Regards,

Phill.

What an excellent suggestion and as luck would have it the train is
already penciled in for June http://pad.ubuntu-uk.org/2011plan

in response to the demands for a speech, I don't really do that kinda
thing, but in short I plan to carry on doing what I was doing before,
but perhaps slightly more of it :)

Thanks!

Alan.

Good luck Alan, I've not been following the list much for a couple of
weeks (possibly longer even), but going on your posts that I've read I'm
sure you'll do well.

Thanks too Dave for your hard work :-)

Since this mail only one candidate stepped up, despite an extension of
two weeks. It was decided at the meeting we held on the 3rd March that
subject to no further candidates stepping forward we would agree to
hand the reigns over to the very capable single candidate, Alan Bell.

So with that. Thanks very much to Dave for caring for the community,
and we're now over to Alan Bell's stewardship.

Congratulations Alan, thanks for stepping up!
