Re: [Ubuntu-US-CA] Request for Participation

Hello John and Matt,

Maybe I am missing something obvious, but what is TNG?

Thanks for stepping forward. One page we need to update that lists
many of the things we do (sometimes in the background but always
striving for transparency) to keep ourselves organized is
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam/WhoDoesWhat This wiki page
lists several areas we could use more participants. I mentioned
socallinuxexpo.org coming up Feb 21-23 led by Phil. Additional release
planning for this big LTS could begin now to have things in motion
after the holidays pass. IRC Meetings every other week are a good way
to ask and answer questions. Ubuntu Hours are regularly scheduled in
person meetings. Let's talk soon

Cheers,

Grant

Would anyone like to help me out with some tasks for the team? We can
discuss what I have in mind any number of ways. As we go into the
holidays there is quite a bit we can do to prepare for the coming year
like socallinuxexpo.org and some background administrative stuff. This
cycle is also a big one, the 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr [1] cycle scheduled
for April 17th. The toolchain and daily images are already online!
Apparently kind spirited, constructive suggestions with offers of
 participation would be fantastic!

 Cheers,

 Grant

The Next Generation, a SCaLE track for younger attendees, Philip ran
it last time:

https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale11x/scale-next-generation

As for our wiki, the Projects page could really use attention:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam/Projects

Raring is very much done, and we never made a page for Saucy (might be
too late now, release is done!) and we'll want a page created for
SCale, see past SCaLE pages for templates and info, ie:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam/Projects/Scale11x
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam/Projects/Scale10x

Thanks for kicking this off, Grant!
