Re: [Ubuntu Oregon] Salem Ubuntu hour.

2016-09-17 Thread Phil N
I totally concur one thousand percent with what Che said, well stated Che,
and thanks.

We owe a debt of gratitude towards these early pioneers, and everyone who
works on FOSS today.

Much thanks y'all, because of you, this movie can be thoroughly enjoyed by
watching it on your Linux/Ubuntu system. ;-)

Ciao for now.
 Phil. N.

That is a great documentary and well worth watching, not just for GNU/Linux
users but anyone interested in computer history. It should really be a must
watch for IT students, just to give them an opposing view point to the norm.

During last evening's Salem Ubuntu hour, the historical topic of GNU and
RMS (aka Richard Stallman) was discussed. Cody and James recommended a
great documentary - "Revolution OS" a short 2001, 85mim, historical film
about GNU/Linux and the FOSS movement.

Wow - This is a great! documentary for Linux enthusiasts and newbies. You
may view it on YouTube (below link)
