My Bootsplash shows only sometimes a green screen with a pink border. Switching to command screen and back to splash with esc key solves the strange behavior. I've tried installing Martin Owen's ppa version of the wizardpen drivers on two different laptops with my waltop slim tablet, and had no luck. Exactly the same problems as described here. The only thing I can think of is perhaps I've gotten the modifications for the 70-wizardpen.conf file wrong, this is what mine looks like now. Wondering what the progress is on the kernel patch that supposedly allows the real driver to work, and if I can apply that myself in the meantime? I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell D600 and I can't seem to locate the psmouse.conf file in modprobe.d in order to edit it and attempt to fix this issue per TIm's suggestion. Do I need to create a psmouse.conf file? (My issue is the left mouse button for the track pad and/or stick pointer will click down, but it doesn't register or do anything until I move the mouse. In the first time i had problems to access in Ubuntu for graphic card, but it were configured for old Nvidia. I insert line in xorg "vesa" in device and i deleted "nvidia". I removed Nvidia from Synaptic and now it works. But in standby, some time it crash. I thought i had wrong something. Now this bug is clear. >From registry of Xserver i have seen this error: "Fatal Server Error: failed to submit batchbuffer: input/output error".
