[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 569294] Re: Waltop Tablet works but it indicates the absolute point only holding the buttons

2010-07-31 Thread Ashwyn Falkingham
I've tried installing Martin Owen's ppa version of the wizardpen drivers
on two different laptops with my waltop slim tablet, and had no luck.
Exactly the same problems as described here. The only thing I can think
of is perhaps I've gotten the modifications for the 70-wizardpen.conf
file wrong, this is what mine looks like now.

Wondering what the progress is on the kernel patch that supposedly
allows the real driver to work, and if I can apply that myself in the
meantime?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 444674] Re: Mouse behaves strange on clicking in graphical environment

2010-07-31 Thread SSeelbinder
I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell D600 and I can't seem to locate the
psmouse.conf file in modprobe.d in order to edit it and attempt to fix
this issue per TIm's suggestion. Do I need to create a psmouse.conf
file? (My issue is the left mouse button for the track pad and/or stick
pointer will click down, but it doesn't register or do anything until I
move the mouse. Such that I always need to left-click and move the
cursor to make the left click register.)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 555573] Re: [g41] GPU hung: Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error

2010-07-31 Thread francesco bat
Yes !
I think to have same problem.
Some day ago i had put my old hard disk with Ubuntu 10.04 in my new pc Asus
with cpu intel dual core.
In the first time i had problems to access in Ubuntu for graphic card, but it
were configured for old Nvidia.
I insert line in xorg "vesa" in device and i deleted "nvidia".
I removed Nvidia from Synaptic and now it works.
But in standby, some time it crash.
I thought i had wrong something.
Now this bug is clear.
>From registry of Xserver i have seen this error:

"Fatal Server Error: failed to submit batchbuffer: input/output error".
