[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 800140] Re: radeon: [drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id
I have a similar but different problem. When I lock my screen and come back, often times the screen will wake back up, but the dialog that normally appears to unlock the screen never appears. Sometimes I can go into virtual console and kill the screen saver daemon, and get back to my desktop, but it doesn't always work. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 770082] Re: missing 10-wacom.conf
Hi, I just wanted to say this just happened to me as well (and thanks Favux as your posts on UbuntuForums allowed me to fix it). My tablet worked on the first day after adding the PPA. xserver was only updated (or downloaded at all?) at the next boot and everything had been working as intended. Then today (first reboot after the update), I lost the ability to use the stylus after tapping the pad until I moved it out of range and brought it back. Both buttons were also completely inactive. 10-wacom.conf was indeed missing so I created one with the suggested code and now it works again. Looking at my sources, it seems I have Doctor Mo's PPA as well. Got the link from Ubuntu's French doc at http://doc.ubuntu- fr.org/wacom_bamboo_pen (2nd method). But since it worked perfectly until xserver got added, I'd be tempted to place the fault on the latter. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and a Bamboo Pen. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 871471] Re: AntSpotlight screensaver causes xbuntu 11.10 beta to lock up on Averatec 3280
This problem is definitely still happening on this Averatec laptop. I reinstalled xscreensaver-gl, version 5.14-1ubuntu1, carefully set the delay for the screensaver to 10 minutes, and selected AntSpotlite. Within a few minutes the system completely locked up. I had to shut the system down with the power switch to continue. After rebooting, I clicked on the xfce Settings Manager, selected the Screensaver Icon, and quickly selected another screensaver to keep the system from locking up again. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 891898] [NEW] Massively different touchpad acceleration in y than x, when two monitors connected in vertical orientation
Public bug reported: When connecting an external monitor to my netbook, I have to use a vertical orientation of screens in order to retain acceleration. In this setup, I also use an external mouse and keyboard. They work fine. The laptop's touchpad however becomes weird to use: vertical movement is massively exaggerated. I'd say a given movement in the y dimension will move the cursor about 3 times as far as the same movement horizontally. This makes it much more difficult to target window decorations, url bars, and so forth (including the menu bar of the lower screen, which no longer has a screen edge to act as a backstop for the cursor). This started occurring some time in the last week or two, and I install updates (including from -proposed) every week or so. Public bug reported: While upgrading from Ubuntu 8 to the 10, this was the error it gave me. I know that I have a new graphics card, which is probably the problem.
