[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 365300] Re: Randomly I get double clicks when I do a single click.
I have the same issue in Ubuntu 13.04 on a Lenovo W530. I replaced my mouse 3 times already and each time I replace my mouse, it works fine for a couple of weeks, and then starts to misbehave and generate doubleclicks. In Windows, all of them work fine. I wonder if people in this thread that said their problem got solved with a new mouse still think the problem was solved after using the new mouse for several weeks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-evdev in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365300 Title: Randomly I get double clicks when I do a single click. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1188410] Re: branch fix
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it. Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally, in the report please include: 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System - About Ubuntu. 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by checking in Synaptic. 3) What happened and what you expected to happen. The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures . Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make your bug report much more complete. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1188774] [NEW] 13.04 goes into hard lock mode randomly.
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit. Lenovo E430 laptop. My laptop will lock up at random times. When it locks up, there is no mouse movement, no time change with the clock, just... nothing. The only option is to hold the power button to force it off and restart. This happens at any given time, it doesn't matter what I'm doing. There are times it happens while web browsing. The other night I fell asleep and woke up 1.5 hours later to my laptop still looking at me. I thought, it should have suspended by now. Nope, it was hard locked. The time on the clock confirmed it: 8:18 PM on the Lenovo when it was about 10:00 PM. When I've experienced it, I've never been pushing the system hard. It's always been under more light duty tasks. When this has happened I have not had a 2nd monitor plugged in. While I don't have a recent syslog (unless ubuntu-bug picked it up when I filed), I did notice one entry in my syslog that was similar each time I powered the system back up. It was the only thing that looked somewhat off. It's this line here: May 24 21:45:28 JS-UbuE430 signond[2949]: ../../../../src/signond/signondaemon.cpp 360 init Failed to SUID root. Secure storage will not be available. For what it's worth, I spoke to another user who said they were having 100% identical issues. I do believe they are on a Dell system, not a Lenovo system like I am, however our graphics card came up identical when we both ran lspci: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) Thank you for your time. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 124406] Re: Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat
Dear developers, I really would like to stress this issue. Only tonight I had to reboot my machine 3 times due to this issue. It is a MAJOR impediment in working. The key-stucks happened in gedit, and Gummi tonight. So it seems not attached to a specific application. Despite I am not able to develop or program, I see myself as a kind of evangelist, who converted a lot of people to Ubuntu. But, honestly, it is a problem for continue recommending it of having basics such as a keyboard causing problems. I have never seen this on any other distribution. So, please, please have a look at this issue, as I guess that many people might use Asus and Ubuntu 64bit (as it combination seems to correlate somehow). Thank you for your time making Ubuntu that great - that also needs to be said. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124406 Title: Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/emacs/+bug/124406/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1176647] Re: [snb] random hard lockup whilst using Xv
I have also experienced this bug on 2 different machines running 13.04. The first is an eeepc with an Atom 1.66GHz N455 CPU, and the second is a macbook pro 8,1 with a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2415M CPU @ 2.30GHz. The bug is most reproduceable when playing videos, but on rare occasions (3) it has occured while browsing the web. It caused me to downgrade to 12.04 on the eeepc. Same symptoms (video lockup, except cursor, unable to switch to VT) however in my experience, the soundtrack on video playback kept running. A hard reset was required to use the system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1176647 Title: [snb] random hard lockup whilst using Xv To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1176647/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1188774] Re: [snb] 13.04 goes into hard lock mode randomly.
I did that earlier today, update-grub, etc. I booted back up and had no issues for about an hour. I was here working on my Toshiba laptop and my Lenovo laptop just now. I was on my Toshiba and went back to my Lenovo, which had only been idle for about 30 seconds, and it had locked up.
