[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1278223] Re: Mouse Flickering after adding 3rd Monitor
Hi guys I have the same issue, with only 2 screens (native one on the laptop, and the displaylink usb). When the displaylink is connected the laptop screen's mouse cursor flashes everytime there is an update on the displaylink. Making a full white screen with no changes causes a 1/per second flash, and playing a video makes the mouse pretty much disappear. Odd thing is the usb screen is completely normal and unaffected by any flashing. And just to be clear, unplugging the usb, prevents the flashing too. I suspect that the displaylink usb screen card makes unity go into some kind of safe update mode where it hides the mouse cursor whule drawing updates.. wolfen@wolfen-HP:~$ lsusb -tv /: Bus 04.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/6p, 5000M /: Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/14p, 480M |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M |__ Port 2: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=udl, 480M |__ Port 3: Dev 7, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=usbfs, 480M |__ Port 3: Dev 7, If 1, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=, 480M |__ Port 7: Dev 4, If 0, Class=Video, Driver=uvcvideo, 480M |__ Port 7: Dev 4, If 1, Class=Video, Driver=uvcvideo, 480M |__ Port 13: Dev 5, If 0, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M |__ Port 14: Dev 6, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=, 12M /: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci-pci/2p, 480M |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/8p, 480M /: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci-pci/2p, 480M |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Dwolfen@wolfen-HP:~$ cat /etc/issue Ubuntu 14.04 LTS \n \l river=hub/6p, 480M wolfen@wolfen-HP:~$ lspci | grep -i vga 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) wolfen@wolfen-HP:~$ cat /etc/issue Ubuntu 14.04 LTS \n \l -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1278223 Title: Mouse Flickering after adding 3rd Monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1278223/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1321351] [NEW] Mouse randomly starts moving and clicking
Public bug reported: Appears to be a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/749567. I was going to attach on to that bug but the apport-collect dialog said it was better to create a new one and mark as duplicate. I am running a Thinkpad W510 touchscreen with the touchpad disabled.
