[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1330385] [NEW] Intel GPU crash corrupts fonts
Public bug reported: The bug occurs regularly, without any special action. I'm just working in gnome-terminal und using Firefox. Symptoms: * While working, the system suddenly freezes for a few seconds (like a typical crash in the X system) * Then I can continue work, but with corrupted fonts and views * New windows are sometimes readable again Don't know if the package is correct. Dmesg shows: [ 3647.214489] [drm] stuck on render ring [ 3647.214499] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error [ 3647.214500] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including userspace. [ 3647.214501] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI - DRM/Intel [ 3647.214502] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue. [ 3647.214502] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it. The bug is also relevant to scaling.
