[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1351830] Re: AMD video but python-pyopencl install nvidia-opencl-icd-331-updates

2014-08-03 Thread Graham Inggs
That should be:

Installing nvidia-opencl-icd-331-updates alongside AMD graphics drivers
should *not* cause any problems as multiple OpenCL ICDs from different
vendors can be co-installed.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1351830] Re: AMD video but python-pyopencl install nvidia-opencl-icd-331-updates

2014-08-03 Thread Graham Inggs
I think the problem here is that python-pyopencl depends on the virtual
package opencl-icd (i.e. it needs an OpenCL ICD), but although AMD
graphics drivers do ship an OpenCL ICD, they do not indicate this by
providing opencl-icd.

Installing nvidia-opencl-icd-331-updates alongside AMD graphics drivers
should cause any problems as multiple OpenCL ICDs from different vendors
can be co-installed.

See also LP: #1129409, this was fixed for the Nvidia graphics drivers,
but never for the AMD graphics drivers.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1351985] [NEW] Swap up/down directions for mouse when switching desktops

2014-08-03 Thread A. Eibach
Public bug reported:

I'm on Lubuntu Utopic (alpha 2), but I am almost sure this was the very
same in Trusty (stable).

This is actually no big thing, just kindly asking for some more logical
default configuration (in particular to ease life for new users).

$HOME/.config/openbox/lubuntu-rc.xml

(Might be originally derived from /etc/X11/openbox/rc.xml, but I rather
have my doubts: the .xml in /etc has two or more parameters in one line,
whilst the one in $HOME has all those lines broken up in separate ones
(which might explain the huge difference in lines of text)

730 context name=Desktop
731 mousebind button=Up action=Click
732 action name=GoToDesktop
733 toprevious/to
734 /action
735 /mousebind
736 mousebind button=Down action=Click
737 action name=GoToDesktop
738 tonext/to
739 /action
740 /mousebind

Shouldn't this actually be assigned to Up = next and Down = previous?
It sounds more logical to me. The funny thing is that with either assignment of
directions, it will not show to the user UNLESS number of desktops is greater
than 2. This is why I never complained before, since I only have had 3 desktops
since a few days. :)
