[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1382789] [NEW] If I plug a second monitor into my laptop while its sleeping, and then wake it up, the lock screen freezes
Public bug reported: I find sometimes that if I plug in my monitor into my laptop (via an HDMI port, and and then HDMI to DVI connector) the monitor doesn't seem to be recognized by ubuntu and no image displays on it. I have gotten around this issue by having my laptop go to sleep and then plugging it in then, at which point I could wake it up and things would generally work. It seems lately though that the lock screen is just frozen upon waking up (though not always, I can't seem to notice any pattern or triggers), and therefore I usually have to restart X. What I expect to happen is to be able to plug in my secondary monitor at any point, at the lock screen, when at the desktop, or when the laptop is closed or asleep, and then just have it recgonized and work without needing to reboot or restart the display server. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1382845] [NEW] Mouse buttons are ignored
Public bug reported: I have just performed a completely clean installation of Utopic from the daily ISO. After installation, however, I was unable to use the mouse buttons. Neither the left nor right mouse buttons have any effect when pressed. I tried connecting another mouse but it exhibits the same behavior - the cursor moves but the clicks don't do anything. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1382845] Re: Mouse buttons are ignored
Hey... it actually did solve the problem - at least temporarily. Not only that, but I noticed something else interesting before I tried that. If two windows are open, the active one doesn't receive the clicks, but the one underneath does. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1382845 Title: Mouse buttons are ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1382845/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1382845] Re: Mouse buttons are ignored
I am also experiencing this since 2 days ago on my tests. I also face the same problem with the background window receiving the clicks and the front windows caring less about them. At first I thought it was the mouse (logitech anywhere) so I changed batteries. I could move the cursor but no clicks. I even disassembled the mouse. Nothing. I then used another logitech. Same problem. It was not until I went back to 14.04 or tested on my neighbor's computer that I saw the problem.
