[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 772873] Re: Vino does not work with compositing
I have the bug with 14.04 Trusty. Using vino on server side (and remmina as client), test between two machines in LAN. With fglrx installed on the server, the image does not update at all. When switching back to X.org driver : the image is updated on the client side but very slowly. (Window movements initiated from the client are also slow to display on the server's screen) I installed the Catalyst control center (fglrx-admcccle 2:13) and in admin mode I activated the no tear mode as suggested above. Now it works fine. Thank you. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772873 Title: Vino does not work with compositing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/772873/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1405949] [NEW] Lenovo yoga pad screen doesn't rotate
You have been subscribed to a public bug: The Lenovo Yoga pad is normally in the landscape position. When it is folded into a tablet and rotated to the portrait position, the screen should rotate with it, but it doesn't. It is running 14.04 with all the latest updates. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1389904] Re: With the recent update to xserver-xorg-video-intel, system boots to a black screen
I re-tried my test where I installed Lubuntu 14.04.1, then applied updates. This time, I un-checked the X.org X server Intel i8xx ... update (so it wouldn't be installed), and installed updates. After installing updates, it shows that the 2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1 version is the version installed. On reboot, it worked normally (no problem). It appears that using Synaptic Package Manager to force the old version (or freeze the version), as I did in my prior test, did not have the expected effect (or had no effect). I am able to use my Lubuntu 14.04.1 system on that machine by each time holding back the X.org X server Intel i8xx ... update (for the xserver-xorg-video-intel package). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1389904 Title: With the recent update to xserver-xorg-video-intel, system boots to a black screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1389904/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
