[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1432843] Re: Lubuntu failed to boot
I tried version 20150324.1 of i386 last night and again this failed to install. I was able to install amd64 version of 20150324 on another PC but after installation loading takes 2 minutes until login menu appears. In recovery mode it shows: a start up job is running for dev-disk. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1432843 Title: Lubuntu failed to boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1432843/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1435685] Re: [Asus X751MD] Double mouse cursor
lecolo: my laptop is this one... Just to advise, your laptop model is already in the Bug Description. There was mouse-bug using normal free driver, for intel HD (Intel Pentium Quad Core N3540 Bay Trail-M (2.16 GHz, 4 cœurs, TDP 7.5W) Choosing the verified Nvidia driver in the (x)ubuntu repository : no bug. Ok. Does the issue occur in http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily- live/current/ ? I didn't try the unverified more recent Nvidia one. It's not necessary to test this, as we've already narrowed down where the issue is. Also, this report is scoped to the double mouse cursor issue, not how your touchpad doesn't work. If you have an issue with your touchpad, it would help immensely if you filed a new report via a terminal: ubuntu-bug linux Please feel free to subscribe me to the new report. ** Summary changed: - double mouse cursor, 64bit, fresh install + [Asus X751MD] Double mouse cursor ** Description changed: - see here - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1393169 - and - http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1761131 + I have a double mouse cursor. - may apeared after resizing folder on Xubuntu? + WORKAROUND: Installed nvidia driver from Ubuntu repository. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1376903] Re: Caps lock delay
This bug appears to affect all state modifiers, including the keyboard layout switch (the 'Win' key for me). As a result, you cannot hit 'Win' and immediately start typing in a different layout. You have to wait a bit (which is pretty tedious, as I have to switch layouts quite often) before typing, otherwise you get the first few letters of the word typed in the previous layout (language). Very annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-keyboard in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1376903 Title: Caps lock delay To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-keyboard/+bug/1376903/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1436310] [NEW] Keyboard values are delayed during installation
Public bug reported: We are doing a kickstart installation of Ubuntu. We have pre installation phase in kickstart configuration file which contains some questions which are to be asked during installation. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1436491] [NEW] Ubuntu 14.10 desktop amd64 live CD gives no graphical desktop on MacBookPro 8, 3
Public bug reported: The Ubuntu 14.10 desktop amd64 live CD gives no graphical desktop on a Apple MacBookPro 8,3 (A1397) 2011 (hardware described here: http://www.penlug.org/foswiki/bin/view/Main/HardwareInfoAppleMacBookProA1297 ). I also tested an upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04.02LTS to Ubuntu 14.10 and similarly lost the graphical login as xorg no longer started (only the tty terminal login prompt appeared after reboot). Please let me know if any further info is needed to reproduce the issue on your side, or if you'd need me to collect any further diagnostic info from the system, I'm a software engineer so I should be able to follow any instructions you provide, including compiling patches etc. I'm somewhat surprised that xorg would stop working on the Apple MacBookPro 8,3 as it uses the free radeon driver in Ubuntu 14.10 which has worked fine through many many Ubuntu upgrades on this particular machine. To reproduce the issue: attempt to start an Apple MacBookPro 8,3 using the Ubuntu 14.10 desktop amd64 live CD. Notice that no graphical desktop ever appears. Alternately, after a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04.02LTS, upgrade to 14.10, and notice no graphical desktop, only they tty terminal login is presented. I've tried searching for an explanation through many launchpad bugs, but haven't found any other reports. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1436491 Title: Ubuntu 14.10 desktop amd64 live CD gives no graphical desktop on MacBookPro 8,3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1436491/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Not only this problem, but I also crashed a third L15.04 installation (i386) after update.
