[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1377872] Re: Double-buffered compositing performance is sometimes very poor (30 FPS) on intel
I see the same symptoms on my intel system. The easiest way to reproduce the systems for me is to have a host (in bypass mode, with nbuffers=2), a nested server (with nbuffers = 2 or nbuffers = 3), and then run eglplasma connected to the nested server. If egltriangle is running, the host server composites at 60fps. If eglplasma is running, the host server composites at 30fps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1377872 Title: Double-buffered compositing performance is sometimes very poor (30 FPS) on intel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mesa/+bug/1377872/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1449647] [NEW] screen flickering during fullscreen video playback
Public bug reported: When I adjust the brightness or volume using the keyboard media buttons during full screen video playback, the screen flickers. This happens in both Vlc and the default Videos application. Is there a fix for this? I am using ubuntu 15.04 with ati catalyst 15.20. this doesnt happen when i am not using fullscreen playback. its probably associated with the notifications that come up on pressing the volume or brightness buttons. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1424491] Re: apt-get fails to install fglrx or fglrx-updates in 14.04.2 and 12.04.5
It would be more helpful to test and post experiences about the packages in the proposed repository than to ask about ETA's or to tell people to hurry up. It's in the proposed repositories for a reason. This problem already got introduced, probably due to the lack of sufficient testing. The proposed packages are there for real word testing to help prevent other (new) issues from occurring that might affect even more people or result in bigger problems. The more confirmations are provided the faster it can be released for everyone. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424491 Title: apt-get fails to install fglrx or fglrx-updates in 14.04.2 and 12.04.5 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fglrx/+bug/1424491/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Even though it is strange to see variants consisting mostly > of VoidSymbols Hi, thank you very much. Yes, I would agree. The Baybayin script is alphasyllabry so it is always CV-CV, then other vowels are represented by use of a diacritical mark resulting to just 18 base "glyphs" only. Initially I did not include "VoidSymbols" but I noticed that if it is left empty, the system checks the next "upper" keyboard in the list and producing the character there first. 1: Latin = Key1234 produces "A" 2: Baybayin = Key1234 is empty If pressing Key1234 in Baybayin will produce the letter "A" from the Latin layout. I opted instead to hardcode "VoidSymbols" to avoid it. >From what I understand, it was intentional? Anyway, I guess that's for another thread / ticket. Thank you again! [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1449443] [NEW] Second X-Server fails to start: BUG: triggered 'if (axnum >= dev->valuator->numAxes)'
Public bug reported: I'm using Xubuntu 15.04, installed from scratch with the default Xorg package (7.7) and kernel 3.19.0. The first X-Server starts fine. I'm actually writing this report under it right now. But when I try to launch another X-Server from a text console (using the command 'startx -- :1'), this happens: [ 6222.756] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Logitech Gaming Mouse G600" (type: KEYBOARD, id 11) [ 6222.756] (**) Option "xkb_rules" "evdev" [ 6222.756] (**) Option "xkb_model" "pc105" [ 6222.756] (**) Option "xkb_layout" "de" [ 6222.756] (**) Option "xkb_variant" "nodeadkeys" [ 6222.756] (EE) BUG: triggered 'if (axnum >= dev->valuator->numAxes)' [ 6222.756] (EE) BUG: ../../Xi/exevents.c:2087 in InitValuatorAxisStruct() [ 6222.756] (EE) [ 6222.756] (EE) Backtrace: [ 6222.757] (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x56) [0x7ff970fed556] [ 6222.757] (EE) 1: /usr/bin/X (InitValuatorAxisStruct+0x67) [0x7ff970f7e8f7] [ 6222.757] (EE) 2: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/evdev_drv.so (0x7ff9682b4000+0x4f68) [0x7ff9682b8f68] [ 6222.757] (EE) 3: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/evdev_drv.so (0x7ff9682b4000+0x5406) [0x7ff9682b9406] [ 6222.757] (EE) 4: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/evdev_drv.so (0x7ff9682b4000+0x7088) [0x7ff9682bb088] [ 6222.757] (EE) 5: /usr/bin/X (ActivateDevice+0x4a) [0x7ff970e870fa] [ 6222.757] (EE) 6: /usr/bin/X (0x7ff970e3a000+0xa5a81) [0x7ff970edfa81] [ 6222.757] (EE) 7: /usr/bin/X (0x7ff970e3a000+0xbbb8b) [0x7ff970ef5b8b] [ 6222.757] (EE) 8: /usr/bin/X (0x7ff970e3a000+0xbc173) [0x7ff970ef6173] [ 6222.757] (EE) 9: /usr/bin/X (config_init+0x9) [0x7ff970ef4e99] [ 6222.757] (EE) 10: /usr/bin/X (InitInput+0xbb) [0x7ff970ed313b] [ 6222.757] (EE) 11: /usr/bin/X (0x7ff970e3a000+0x5c259) [0x7ff970e96259] [ 6222.757] (EE) 12: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf0) [0x7ff96eb20a40] [ 6222.757] (EE) 13: /usr/bin/X (0x7ff970e3a000+0x4662e) [0x7ff970e8062e] [ 6222.757] (EE) I think it's trying to initialize the additional keys on my mouse as keyboard device and has some problems with that. These errors do not occur on the first X-Server, only the second. I found a few reports on this via Google. But those were other instances and none of them had a solution anyway. Before I installed 15.04, I was running 14.04 and there the second X-Server working without problems. So what is the solution for all users with an Intel HD Graphics 5500 (GT2)? I'm also still having the problem on my Lenovo Thinkpad T450s Is it possible to reopen the Bug #1432194 again? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1448913] Re: (Chrome-based?) applications having display problems
One more thing, I'm not having the same problems with neither the open- source driver nor the standard fglrx driver, only with fglrx-updates and they've only started recently.
