[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1504220] Re: Black screen after "prime-select nvidia" and restart of lightdm/reboot
** Description changed: - I'm using a Lenovo laptop with an intel/nvidia Optimus compatible graphics solution. While being able to use prime-select to switch between those cards with Ubuntu 14.X and official nvidia driversit stopped working when switching to ubuntu 15.04 and newer drivers. I'm not sure when the problem first arises, but I'm stucking with it for almost 5 month. - In the meanwhile I stumbled upon errors in xorg.log pointing to insufficient permissions related to DRM and intel driver. I switched to a newer kernel 4.1.x and the xorg.log error had gone, but the general problem remains. A month ago I switched to a wily daily build to test if the bug still exists there. I did a fresh install but the problem is still the same. + I'm using a Lenovo laptop with an intel/nvidia Optimus compatible graphics solution. [Ubuntu-x-swat] FW: [Bug 1442378] Re: latest radeon open driver on lubuntu 14.04 displays white flickering scan lines and occasional parts of the windows on external monitor
Here it is with reduced video file size. -Mensagem original- De: Guilhermino Silva Correia [mailto:guilherminocorr...@gmail.com] Enviada: sexta-feira, 9 de Outubro de 2015 15:28 Para: 'Bug 1442378' Assunto: RE: [Bug 1442378] Re: latest radeon open driver on lubuntu 14.04 displays white flickering scan lines and occasional parts of the windows on external monitor I've both taken a picture and shot a small video that I think shows it better. In the photo the window is blurry because I was moving it with the mouse ( when the problem mainly manifests ), but you can see the scan lines by the side even if not so many as what I actually see due to exposure time. The video is 17MB but I can reduce it if needed. I've also now noticed that a solid background color shows a vertical moving fluctuation not too contrasted, as in a noisy signal connection. -Mensagem original- De: boun...@canonical.com [mailto:boun...@canonical.com] Em nome de Christopher M.
