[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1522922]
Created attachment 122497 Cache DP signal levels In your case, when DP link is retrained with the settings from previous link training the clock recovery fails. This leads into a situation where link training is started from scratch. However, now the clock recovery seems to be happy with the lower voltage swing and pre-emphasis settings than with the first iteration round. You may experience flickering due to this as the physical link may require higher voltage swing or pre-emphasis than provided. We could try the following trick here. Let's cache the signal levels and in case of link retraining we retrain the link until we have reached the previously trained signal levels and clock recovery is reached. Please, give this a go on top of the latest drm-intel-nightly with these 3 patches applied. Dmesg logs are appreciated too ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1522922 Title: Screen flickering in Intel i915 driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nouveau/+bug/1522922/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Clarification on last comment, it did show black screen on eDP-1, which changed to having image if one logged out. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1561452] Re: Cannot activate third display
After much experimenting, the problem seems to be with the nvidia driver. Updating it to nvidia-361 made *this* problem go away, except it renamed all outputs, refused to show anything on eDP-1 and made the whole thing hung in 5 minutes after reboot. Reverted to 15.10 which has less difficulties. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1561452 Title: Cannot activate third display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1561452/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1388612] Re: [GM965] GPU lockup running OpenGL applications on Dell Vostro 1510
Done, same result with FooBillard++ except that the graphical environment becomes unusable; you can only move the mouse cursor. If you switch to another virtual console and restart the lightdm service from there, you come back to the login screen and you don't have to reboot. I've tried OpenArena, Warzone 2100, two WebGL tests found on the web and all glmark2 tests again on Ubuntu 15.10; they all works fine. Seems to be a very specific problem. Can you suggest me an application that performs a comprehensive GPU test or something else that is interesting to try? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1388612 Title: [GM965] GPU lockup running OpenGL applications on Dell Vostro 1510 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mesa/+bug/1388612/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
