[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1573959] Re: On-screen text disappears after suspend
I'm having a similar issue. Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1432949] Re: r300 Mesa driver not loading with KMS enabled
I can verify the patch works. However there are some issues 1. I see my colors are off when I use compiz as my WM and try to rotate the cube. 2.piglit samity tests fail with this error: spec/!opengl 1.0/gl-1.0-readpixsanity/gl-1.0-readpixsanity: fail 3. games like alien-arean and supertuxkart crash my system when trying to load the game. 4. I can play video in mpv using opengl but get the following error: [vo/opengl] Could not create EGL context! [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 591612] Re: Xorg 1.8 and fglrx (patch request)
Can someone please do something about this? I have an AMD desktop that crossfires an A10's RadeonHD 7660D with a PCI Express 6670G. Up until 15.10 this setup works great. However I am unable to use 16.04 optimally because the open source RADEON drivers can't do crossfire. The upcoming AMDGPU drivers can crossfire but will only support the newer Southern Islands chipsets (those cars that start with Rx xxx). Additionally the RADEON drivers can't do OpenCL either. I think AMD jumped the gun and dumped FGLRX too soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591612 Title: Xorg 1.8 and fglrx (patch request) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/591612/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1432949]
That piglit sanity is failing with the patch may confirm my suspicion that something doesn't add up yet I'm afraid: Since the kernel driver and xf86-video-ati EXA code are using the same hardware formats for display/rendering with BE & LE, I was wondering how the patch could result in both display and glReadPixels working correctly for winsys buffers. Looks like indeed only display works correctly, which indicates that the GPU is effectively writing/reading PIPE_FORMAT_x8R8G8B8_* pixels like PIPE_FORMAT_B8G8R8x8_* (which is what the kernel driver and EXA code are using). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1432949 Title: r300 Mesa driver not loading with KMS enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mesa/+bug/1432949/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Running Compton composting manager (Ubuntu MATE 16.04) and it runs without glitches so far, colours look good. Only thing I noticed is the desktop gets unresponsive and the mouse pointer very jerky during youtube video playback. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1577170] Re: screen cannot be turned back on after being switched off after some time of inactivity
EDIT : I just found that letting the screen be turned off when not logged at all (when I boot the computer and don't log in for example) causes no problem. The screen goes black and can be woken up by moving the mouse or by hitting a key. The problem only appear when logged in, whatever the user. ** No longer affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) ** No longer affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577170 Title: screen cannot be turned back on after being switched off after some time of inactivity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1577170/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
