[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1568604] Re: Mouse cursor lost when unlocking with Intel graphics

2016-06-01 Thread Dmitriy Geels
No, that's not a workaround. Bug appeared again after several hibernate-resume
cycles.
I never seen this bug with xubuntu 15.10, kernel 4.5 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and latest Intel graphics from
01.org. But it appeared after installing 16.04.

I'll try latest kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/, may be it helps.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1564156] Re: xenial: invalid opcode when using llvmpipe

2016-06-01 Thread Jason Gerard DeRose
On a whim, I just checked in on this with the 20160601 Xenial daily
amd64 ISO (sha1sum e07c8b4df1fc71a487fafb309bd318041a65774f), and
everything works great:

http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/xenial/daily-live/pending/

So seems things are on track for this not being a problem in the 16.04.1
release.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1588033] [NEW] System keeps crashing

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1586686] Re: Cursor is over excited and jittering all the time

2016-06-01 Thread Nikita Yerenkov-Scott
@Albert,

Yes, I know, it's just that the others are reported under xserver-xorg-
input-libinput like this one was originally, so I reported this one
under the libinput upstream package, but I don't know what to do for the
xserver-xorg-input-libinput ones, is it just the same package? I mean,
what is the difference between these two packages? Should I report all
the other xserver-xorg-input-libinput bugs under libinput upstream
because that is the only package upstream with any related name?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1572667] Re: [Thinkpad T450s] Screen flickering on external monitors with docking station

2016-06-01 Thread bhat3
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1550779 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1550779

@Bryan Yeah that's why open source collaboration rocks :) I will mark
the bug duplicate and we should follow the other one for getting the fix
backported.

For all T450s owner that might find this bug, you need a newer kernel,
but with 16.04.2 it shouldn't be a problem anymore as it will have the
kernel from 16.10.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1587749] [NEW] random 1-2s black screen

2016-06-01 Thread Haug Bürger
Public bug reported:

I have a Lenovo T450s with docking station and 2 display port monitors
on it.

I experience black screens for about a second. Usually one of the
external monitors only. One external display turns black and comes back
after 1 or 2 seconds. This happens >10 times a day and is really
annoying.

My colleague experiencing the same issue, also using Ubuntu 16.04. Same
hardware.

At home I have a similar issue, also with Intel motherboard graphics.
Different hardware.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1587730] Re: graphic system freezes after a while, can still ssh into machine

2016-06-01 Thread James
One more observation - when the display is in the frozen state (frozen windows,
no response to mouse or keyboard input) and you ssh into the machine, certain
things don't work. For example, 'sudo shutdown now' or 'sudo shutdown -r now'
produce no result.
Sometimes there is a timeout message after a few minutes which says:
"Failed to start poweroff.target: Connection timed out
See system logs and 'systemctl status poweroff.target' for details"

Likewise 'kill -9 ' produces inconsistent results -
sometimes the process in question is successfully killed and other times
not.
