[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1568604] Re: Mouse cursor lost when unlocking with Intel graphics
No, that's not a workaround. Bug appeared again after several hibernate-resume cycles. I never seen this bug with xubuntu 15.10, kernel 4.5 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and latest Intel graphics from 01.org. But it appeared after installing 16.04. I'll try latest kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/, may be it helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568604 Title: Mouse cursor lost when unlocking with Intel graphics To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1568604/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

One external display turns black and comes back after 1 or 2 seconds. This happens >10 times a day and is really annoying. My colleague experiencing the same issue, also using Ubuntu 16.04. Same hardware. At home I have a similar issue, also with Intel motherboard graphics. Different hardware. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1587744] [NEW] Screen is dark and brightness cannot adjust.
Public bug reported: I installed Ubutnu 16.04 LTS on my HP 705 G2 all-in-one machine. It is an AMD kaveri graphic based platform. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1587730] Re: graphic system freezes after a while, can still ssh into machine
One more observation - when the display is in the frozen state (frozen windows, no response to mouse or keyboard input) and you ssh into the machine, certain things don't work. For example, 'sudo shutdown now' or 'sudo shutdown -r now' produce no result. Sometimes there is a timeout message after a few minutes which says: "Failed to start poweroff.target: Connection timed out See system logs and 'systemctl status poweroff.target' for details" Likewise 'kill -9 ' produces inconsistent results - sometimes the process in question is successfully killed and other times not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1587730 Title: graphic system freezes after a while, can still ssh into machine To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1587730/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
