[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1655782] Re: [FFe] Elfdalian layout + merge with Debian 2.19-1
@Iain: The nature of the changes between 2.17 and 2.19 can be viewed here: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-config/log/ And the complete diff is in the PPA: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/306582771/xkeyboard- config_2.17-1ubuntu1_2.19-1ubuntu1~ppa2.diff.gz It's to a large extent additional layouts/variants, and such changes don't at all affect the commonly used layouts for the big countries. There are also a few specific bug fixes. Please note that we are talking about data (the binary package xkb-data). xkeyboard-config 2.19 is in Stretch. FWIW I have used it myself for a couple of months. :) I'd say that the regression risk is very low. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xkeyboard-config in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1655782 Title: [FFe] Elfdalian layout + merge with Debian 2.19-1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xkeyboard-config/+bug/1655782/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1533675] Re: Screen issue with Java applications
I have similar issues with Xubuntu 14.04 LTS with HWE (kernel 4.4.0-66) and Intel Graphics (Skylake i7-6700k with HD 530 GPU). In my below screen capture, I show a matlab window started on a remote machine via "ssh -Y" (left), and the same matlab started on the local machine (right). You can see the left window show blank text in various places. The file icons for the two files (initval.txt and wazu2...) on the file explorer panel also show white stripes (I've seen this on various context). This seems to happen only with Intel graphics, although I am not sure. ** Attachment added: "Left matlab: start via ssh and port forwarding; right matlab: start on local machine" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1533675/+attachment/4842828/+files/java_port_forwarding_bug.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1533675 Title: Screen issue with Java applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1533675/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

What you expected to happen A nice and colorful display of my KDE desktop, where I can actually recognize the features (panel, command entry widget, etc.) rather than have to grasp for them in the dark. 4.) What happened instead After a do-release-upgrade going from 14.04 to 16.04 Entire desktop is composed of black or very dark grey items, which can almost not be seen (but present, as the elements do react when clicked upon) After uninstalling xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (and all packages that depend on it), dpkg --purge, and then re-installing it, everything was nice and colorful. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1672033] Re: Xorg does not detect displays in rootless mode on nvidia proprietary drivers (GNOME)
