2017-03-30 Thread Paddy Landau
This appears to have been silently fixed as from the 16.04 HWE linux
kernel.

I have tested this on:

 • 16.04 64-bit, kernel 4.8.0-45 installed with linux-generic-hwe-16.04
 • 16.10 using a Live CD
 • Today's 17.04 daily build using a Live CD

I suppose that this can be marked as solved. Pity it took so long :(

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1671799] Re: FFe: xserver 1.19.3

2017-03-30 Thread Timo Aaltonen
So this is being blocked by onscripter autopkgtests failing on qemu.
Notes so far

- happens only with qemu
- test fails only if Xvfb was started from the same shell (as is the case with
xvfb-run)
  - test runs fine if Xvfb was started from another shell..
  - trying to strace the test makes it pass..
- happens on Debian too
- tried reverting randr support from Xvfb, didn't help
- remaining two commits to it were for server internal abi changes, can't
revert those

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1574667] Re: Mouse pointer occasionally jumps to the bottom-left corner

2017-03-30 Thread zanonmark
@tinga: What exactly didn't work for you?
For me, replacing synaptics with libinput (as in #32) did the trick.

Then I also had to write a little bash script to reduce the speed:

#!/bin/sh
xinput -set-prop 11 281 -0.75
exit 0

or you could set this in 90-libinput.conf, as in #38 and #39.
