[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1639337] Re: Ubuntu 16.10 Abs_pressure not reported from kernel evdev to xserver-xorg-evdev

2017-04-10 Thread Brian
downgrade to xserver-xorg-input-evdev_2.10.1-1ubuntu2_amd64.deb does not
solve for me, it depends on xorg-input-abi-22 which is not installable.
I am on Ubuntu 17.04.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1680974] Re: libegl1-mesa depends on libmirclient9

2017-04-10 Thread Fred
But Mir is not really used and never really was.
It was available as a preview.
It would make sense to relax the dependency from required to suggested, if not
drop it entirely as a dependency but still have it in the repository.

Yes, I read that it is not going away in the short term and it is
getting continued maintenance for IOT.

I know he did. There's no need to have a bug for it, the dep will be
dropped when Mir is no longer used. And if you read further you've

This is no trolling. Mark Shuttleworth announced the abandonment of Mir and
Unity 8.
Is there any reason to still have a dependency?

Maybe it should be changed from required to suggested at least to soften
the dependency.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1586539] Re: Major screen flickering in Chromium and Google Chrome

2017-04-10 Thread Jacob Doherty
The Xorg team people believe they have resolved this now:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94987

commit 7aa6ca61ee5546d74b76610894924cdb0d4a1af0
Author: Chris Wilson
Date: Mon Nov 7 16:52:04 2016 +

drm/i915: Mark CPU cache as dirty when used for rendering

No idea of the release / version this has been resolved in though - and
guessing the Ubuntu 16.04 packages won't be carrying the very latest
commits and releases.

Any chance the Ubuntu package maintainers can reach out to their
upstream to discuss and look at including?
