Public bug reported: The default settings of xinput for trackpad make users think it is not working. Behavior that one is used from trackpads under Linux as well as other operating systems is disabled and needs to be enabled for the individual user account. As a consequence, the user's custom settings are not available on the multi-user login screen. - Tapping is disabled. You need to find out that you have to press hard to click. libinput Tapping Enabled (281): 0 - Cursor acceleration is off. A finger move moves the cursor only about 4cm. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1659886] Re: black screen after leaving bootloader
This issue is fixed in 16.10 where the screen is turned on with black background and shows a blurry cursor.
