Since I posted this report, some updates were made available, but the situation got worse. Soon after the log, the screen turns black with no action alternatives. Please file bugs against the specific packages that don't work with GNOME on Wayland. The apps should use PolicyKit to elevate permissions for the specific privileged actions they need.
