[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1727541] [NEW] After suspend, three fingers needed for two-finger scroll
Public bug reported: I enabled two-finger scroll for my touchpad in Settings. Initially, it worked fine. However, after closing the laptop lid and suspending the computer, three fingers are needed to scroll. Two fingers just moves the pointer, as with one finger. Toggling the setting does not help, nor does logging out and logging back in. Restarting does fix it - until the computer suspends again. This is a ThinkPad T440s running Ubuntu 17.10 after upgrading from 17.04. I'm using Wayland with libinput 1.8.2-1ubuntu2. libinput is my best guess for where the bug lies, but really I have no idea. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1724933] Re: I can't adjust display brightness
This appears to be quite an old issue with Optimus graphics. For me the workaround was to pass specific kernel parameters at boot time to inhibit acpi control of the backlight but allow intel_backlight control I followed the instructions at https://nisheetlall.wordpress.com/2016/07/12/solved-brightness-fix-in-linux-for-optimus-laptops/ which worked first time for me. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1686081] Re: If -synaptics is installed, GNOME Mouse & Touchpad Settings doesn't work
After upgrading my laptop to 17.10 I had right click functionality on my touchpad. Then it was gone, some other people also reported this on askubuntu but I could not find a related bug. After finding this bug I installed xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and right click on my touchpad is back. So the disappearing right click functionality is a problem in libinput? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1686081 Title: If -synaptics is installed, GNOME Mouse & Touchpad Settings doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/1686081/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
