[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1686081] Re: If -synaptics is installed, GNOME Mouse & Touchpad Settings doesn't work

2018-03-20 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Alex,

The mutter fix does set its own settings for TapButtons. And gnome-
control-center (for reasons unexplained) has no GUI to configure it. But
you can affect those settings by installing and running 'gnome-tweak-
tool' and then set:

  gnome-tweak-tool > Keyboard & Mouse > Touchpad > Mouse Click Emulation
= Fingers

which is the same as TapButton1=1 TapButton2=3 TapButton3=2.

If that's not enough then you can also force your own settings by
running command 'synclient'. Once you know the synclient syntax you want
you can apply it automatically at login by running 'gnome-session-
properties'.

And if that's still not enough then you can also log a bug if you like:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+filebug

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1757195] Re: Xwayland crashed with SIGABRT

2018-03-20 Thread Jordan Hansen
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1754693 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1754693

bug #1754693 is private so I can't follow the status or workarounds to
try. Is there a public version of that bug I can follow?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1755232] Re: Xorg crashes when tapping Unity system tray icons

2018-03-20 Thread krzychoocpp
@jnavila: It looks like it could be related, but I couldn't reproduce
your crash (or at least I think so). With context menu opened in chrome
I tried tapping on the window border, Unity bar and system tray - both
when Chrome was maximized and when it wasn't. No crash. Should I do
something else?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1751492] Re: VAAPI encoding is broken in Skylake

2018-03-20 Thread Leonardo Müller
I could encode successfully with all compatible VAAPI encoders on
Skylake:

 V. h264_vaapi H.264/AVC (VAAPI) (codec h264)
 V. hevc_vaapi H.265/HEVC (VAAPI) (codec hevc)
 V. mjpeg_vaapi MJPEG (VAAPI) (codec mjpeg)
 V. mpeg2_vaapi MPEG-2 (VAAPI) (codec mpeg2video)
 V. vp8_vaapiVP8 (VAAPI) (codec vp8)

Only VP9 I can't test, as Skylake can't encode it purely on hardware
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/intel-vaapi-
driver/+bug/1591714).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1756380] Re: vaapi VP9 hardware decoding not working anymore in bionic

2018-03-20 Thread Timo Aaltonen
I think this could be fallout caused by stripping the shaders from the
driver package.. which is why building from github works.

building 2.0.0 from github would prove this false/right

2018-03-20 Thread LocutusOfBorg
Considering that the package has been in unstable for 5 days already
(the RC bug is fixed and not a code bug, but rather a packaging one).

the only new bug is:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=892916

and this is probably not worth a nack because of the ton of other fixes
