[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1814364] Re: software updater ask grub setting repeated
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem. 2. The behavior you expected. 3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1814364] Re: software updater ask grub setting repeated
I missed affects, perhaps grub-pc( or grub). I have 4 desktop pc, and 1 is UEFI bios. I use UEFI bios to legacy mode. other 3 PCs not support UEFI. UEFI bios PC do not occurd to display select install grub device, and finished update. but #675171 problem occurd. My disk(/dev/sda) have 4 partions for 4 ubuntu. I update to use software updater ubuntu in /dev/sda4, grub update /dev/sda1 pbr. so I want to boot ubuntu in /dev/sda1, but boot up ubuntu in /dev/sda4. /dev/sda2, /dev/sda3, /dev/sda4 are work fine, only /dev/sda4 updated to affect /dev/sda1. I repaired /dev/sda1 pbr to use grub-install command, but I want to update this problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libinput in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1814364 Title: software updater ask grub setting repeated To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libinput/+bug/1814364/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1730035] Re: Needs to depend on Python3
For those who really don't want python3-apport and apport installed, despite what Ubuntu maintainers say: Create a new package with "Provides: python3-apport" that is otherwise empty. Then python3-apport and apport can be uninstalled. Warning: This might break your system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1730035 Title: Needs to depend on Python3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1730035/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1814387] [NEW] swithching workspace by scrolling on edge of Dock (left side bar)
Public bug reported: If you position the mouse corsor on the edge of Dock and scroll, you can switch the workspace, which behaves equivalent to the scrolling on the "Show Applications" button in the corner. I've reproduced it on other Ubuntu 18 installations of friends (all 3 I tested, at least one was a fresh installation from the official iso). It is not important where Dock is or whether a window or the desktop is next to it. Program shortcuts have also no effect, because they end before it. It works with a single or 2 monitors on all instances of Dock. I use Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS with all updates (via apt upgrade) installed and observed it for several months now. (After starting apport for this I updated again and nothing changed, no restart) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+19ubuntu7.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-43.46-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-43-generic x86_64 .tmp.unity_support_test.0: ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.5 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: None CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Sat Feb 2 16:10:48 2019 DistUpgraded: 2018-10-01 14:59:21,229 DEBUG Running PostInstallScript: './xorg_fix_proprietary.py' DistroCodename: bionic DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0416] (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: CLEVO/KAPOK Computer 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [1558:2300] Subsystem: CLEVO/KAPOK Computer GM107M [GeForce GTX 860M] [1558:2300] InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-03-18 (685 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20170215.2) MachineType: Notebook W230SS ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.15.0-43-generic root=UUID=907d4e48-c148-454e-aa8a-7adb74d51fb2 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=1 SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to bionic on 2018-10-01 (124 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 04/15/2014 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 4.6.5 dmi.board.asset.tag: Tag 12345 dmi.board.name: W230SS dmi.board.vendor: Notebook dmi.board.version: Not Applicable dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 9 dmi.chassis.vendor: Notebook dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr4.6.5:bd04/15/2014:svnNotebook:pnW230SS:pvrNotApplicable:rvnNotebook:rnW230SS:rvrNotApplicable:cvnNotebook:ct9:cvrN/A: dmi.product.family: Not Applicable dmi.product.name: W230SS dmi.product.version: Not Applicable dmi.sys.vendor: Notebook version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.13.1+18.04.20180302-0ubuntu1 version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.95-1~18.04.1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 18.0.5-0ubuntu0~18.04.1 version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 18.0.5-0ubuntu0~18.04.1 version.xserver-xorg-core: xserver-xorg-core 2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4.2 version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.10.5-1ubuntu1 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:18.0.1-1 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.917+git20171229-1 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:1.0.15-2 xserver.bootTime: Mon Oct 1 13:12:45 2018 xserver.configfile: default xserver.errors: Failed to load module "nvidia" (module does not exist, 0) Failed to load module "nvidia" (module does not exist, 0) NOUVEAU(G0): [XvMC] Failed to initialize extension. xserver.logfile: /var/log/Xorg.0.log xserver.version: 2:1.19.6-1ubuntu4~16.04.1 xserver.video_driver: modeset ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic dock ubuntu ui -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1814387 Title: swithching workspace by scrolling on edge of Dock (left side bar) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1814387/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
