[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1816947] Re: [Dell XPS L321X] Touchpad not working after last apt-get upgrade
I installed the following deb files: linux-headers-4.13.0-19_4.13.0-19.22_all.deb linux-headers-4.13.0-19-generic_4.13.0-19.22_amd64.deb linux-image-4.13.0-19-generic_4.13.0-19.22_amd64.deb linux-image-extra-4.13.0-19-generic_4.13.0-19.22_amd64.deb Now I'm running $ uname -a Linux bionic 4.13.0-19-generic #22-Ubuntu SMP Mon Dec 4 11:58:07 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and the bug IS STILL present. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1816947] Re: [Dell XPS L321X] Touchpad not working after last apt-get upgrade
1) I tried with all these: 4.10.0-041000_4.10.0 4.11.0-041100_4.11.0 4.12.0-041200_4.12.0 4.17.0-041700_4.17.0 4.18.0-041800_4.18.0 4.19.0-041900_4.19.0 they all work fine 2) I'll give it a try, but I had troubles installing a working ubuntu kernel version to start looking for the version that introduces the bug, see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1816947/comments/43 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libinput in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1816947 Title: [Dell XPS L321X] Touchpad not working after last apt-get upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libinput/+bug/1816947/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1778011] Re: SRU: PRIME Power Saving mode draws too much power
I am very interested on the status of this bug, since I am considering which version of Ubuntu to install. I have just 3 questions about it: * If I understand correctly, the bug does not occur in Ubuntu 18.10. The user can switch seamlessly between using the Intel or the Nvidia discrete graphics card. Is this correct? * What is the status in Ubuntu 18.04? Is the bug solved? * In Ubuntu 18.04, is it possible to run the laptop disabling the Nvidia graphics card completely (with the card not consuming any power)? How can this be achieved? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-settings in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1778011 Title: SRU: PRIME Power Saving mode draws too much power To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1778011/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
