[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1835863] Re: Screens do not stay off when blanking
We will need to find out what is turning the screen on again. To do this please: 1. Wait until the screen turns off. 2. Wait until the screen turns on again by itself. 3. As soon as the screen turns itself on, run this command in a terminal: journalctl -b0 > curjournal.txt and send us the file 'curjournal.txt'. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835863 Title: Screens do not stay off when blanking To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1835863/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1785964] Re: Unable to unlock the desktop session: systemd-logind: got pause for 13:69
Still weird. The only Gnome extensions active are the follwoing ones from the Ubuntu repository: gnome-shell-extension-disconnect-wifi gnome-shell-extension-top-icons-plus gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock I am still facing the freezing issues, but only if my Dell XPS13 notebook goes into S3 suspend for quite some time (like more than 5 minutes). I changed that behavior to S2 instead (removed "mem_sleep_default=deep" from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in grub config). Now even after more than 5 minutes of hibernation there wasn't any freezing. Suspending into S2 is just for debugging exercises and currently not a permanent solution as S2 significantly drains the battery (see https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199689). ** Bug watch added: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #199689 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199689 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1785964 Title: Unable to unlock the desktop session: systemd-logind: got pause for 13:69 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1785964/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1835521] Re: [regression] Artifacts appears when windows are maximizing or minimizing (Intel Apollo Lake)
Thank you very much. Will GNOME 3.34 bereally faster and smoother? I am very tired of the creepy animations and the long opening of the application menu. Sometimes there is a desire to change the graphical shell, but I hold on. I envy the device owners on macOS with their cool Launchpad (menu of apps, not website) and and the animations of minimizing/maximizing. I really wish to make Ubuntu so beautiful system as macOS. пн, 8 июл. 2019 г., 8:55 Daniel van Vugt : > Thanks for that. > > It seems you are reporting multiple different issues here.
