[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 971018] Re: Auto-hide Unity Launcher will not reveal when mouse pushed to left side in VirtualBox or VMware

2021-04-03 Thread Stan Senotrusov
There is a solution for that issue. You need to run the following to
change the settings:

gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock require-pressure-
to-show false

I tested it at Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS guest on VMware workstation. I think
it may apply to Virtualbox case as well.

Just got crash reports at Firefox about this - apparently
visiting/closing any website with WebGL is enough to trigger this on
affected drivers.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1922414] Re: ssh-agent fails to start (has_option: command not found)

2021-04-03 Thread Laurent Bonnaud
The has_option shell function is not defined in the same file:

 - in Ubuntu groovy it is defined in
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/20x11-common_process-args

 - in Ubuntu hirsute it is defined in
/etc/X11/Xsession

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1922414] Re: ssh-agent fails to start (has_option: command not found)

2021-04-03 Thread Laurent Bonnaud
The /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90x11-common_ssh-agent file is the same in
Ubuntu groovy and hirsute. Therefore, the problem is elsewhere.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1867668] Re: Visual artifacts in Gnome Shell when using the old 'intel' Xorg driver

2021-04-03 Thread Wiktor Nizio
In Ubuntu Unity 21.04 Beta xserver-xorg-video-intel is installed by
default, but doesn't cause artifacts. In a test version prior to Beta it
did cause them.

Regarding #25, I suggest removing it from the installer. I don't mind
archives. I reported it against Ubuntu Unity:

https://gitlab.com/ubuntu-unity/ubuntu-unity-issues/-/issues/85

I was told "it will be replaced by a update or needs to be remove at
Ubuntu's end.".

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1920665] Re: Ubiquity KDE crash on try/install and from live session with "malloc(): unaligned tcache chunk detected"

2021-04-03 Thread Bob H
It is possible on my PC to install Ubuntu2104beta without encountering
this behaviour and I can successfully install the Ubuntu flavour.

This bug does happen with the Kubuntu beta and I find it is impossible
to install the Kubuntu flavour from the beta iso.

It is worth noting that mesa is present in both Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
