[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1782984] Re: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed with multiple applications
That seems like we should be able to extract a verification from the errors.ubuntu.com results. Is it possible to query crashes with a specific dependency version? Seeing no crash reports with libx11 2:1.6.9-2ubuntu1.3 would suggest this is fixed. On the other hand, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libx11/+bug/1782984/comments/110 suggests that this may *not* be fixed in focal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libx11 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1782984 Title: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed with multiple applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libx11/+bug/1782984/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1943328] Re: display 1920x1080 not showing in setting
Thanks for the bug report. It appears the system can't get an EDID over the VGA port and so is defaulting to low resolution: [ 6595.926] (II) modeset(0): EDID for output VGA-1 [ 6595.926] (II) modeset(0): Printing probed modes for output VGA-1 [ 6595.927] (II) modeset(0): Modeline "1024x768"x60.0 65.00 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -hsync -vsync (48.4 kHz e) I would recommend using a digital monitor connection (HDMI) instead. If you can't do that then try plugging in the VGA cable again, firmly. Also try a different VGA cable, but HDMI would be better. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) ** Summary changed: - display 1920x1080 not showing in setting + [i915] display 1920x1080 not showing in setting ** Package changed: linux (Ubuntu) => linux-hwe-5.11 (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1943328 Title: [i915] display 1920x1080 not showing in setting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-5.11/+bug/1943328/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1943417] Re: Xorg freeze
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete ** Summary changed: - Xorg freeze + Screen freeze -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1943417 Title: Screen freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1943417/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
