[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1950060] [NEW] Unable to adjust screen backlight brightness

2021-11-06 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

The machine is Pixelbook 2017 Eve. OS is 21.10 fresh install and there
is no way to adjust the screen backlight brightness. It is 100% all the
time. IN 21.04 the solution was to add to kernel command line the
i915.enable_dpcd_backlight=1 however this does not work in 21.10.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1949924] Re: yelp crashes in wayland session

2021-11-06 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
This seems to be NVIDIA related (I'm using nvidia-driver-470).

Downgrading the libnvidia-egl-wayland1 package to the version used in
impish fixes the issue; hence it's a 1.1.9 regression.

Setting GDK_BACKEND=x11, as mentioned in the upstream issue, works
around the problem.
