I made a new report in the proper place (i.e. udev package): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/1968036. It's a really easy backport so I hope it's through soon. Edit: Didn't see your message beforehand, sorry. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1926860] Re: XP Pen Star 03 graphic tablet not running on Ubuntu later than 18.04
I ran into the same issue. It's a misconfiguration in the systemd/udev hardware database (bug: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/17953) that has been fixed upstream (https://github.com/systemd/systemd/commit/2d8840eb6632a43956b73a1042e8b8244623494a) by just removing the entry and deferring to libwacom. Unfortunately the first systemd release after that (250) is one above even the version in 22.04 (249) and, simple as it is, it seems the fix has not been backported yet, so I guess you'd have to change the file yourself and do it again each time the package is updated, which is my approach right now and does work. @tjaalton can you do something about it? ** Bug watch added: github.com/systemd/systemd/issues #17953 https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/17953 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xf86-input-wacom in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1926860 Title: XP Pen Star 03 graphic tablet not running on Ubuntu later than 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xf86-input-wacom/+bug/1926860/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
