The settings of the screen, in particular brightness and gamma, are being lost 
in numerous situations:
- leaving a screen saver/lock
- switching users
- random time
- logging in

This applies to settings set via xrandr, or using the nvidia-settings
tool.

This did not happen in previous versions of Ubuntu (20.04 for example).
