[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2056652] Re: Display goes black after time out, even when switched off
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Run these commands: journalctl -b0 > journal.txt journalctl -b-1 > prevjournal.txt and attach the resulting text files here. 2. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 3. If step 2 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2056652 Title: Display goes black after time out, even when switched off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2056652/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2056671] Re: Gnome Shell Screencast does not capture mouse pointer
This looks like just bad UI design. The option to include the pointer already exists but it's disabled by default and not obvious because the button looks exactly like the mouse pointer itself (bottom right of the dialog). Please select that option in the screen recorder dialog before starting the recording. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => gnome-shell (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2056671 Title: Mouse toggle in the screenshot/screencast dialog is hard to discover that it's a button To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/2056671/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2056642] Re: drop down menu appears on another workspace
This suggests the menu is an override-redirect X11 window, so perhaps appearing on all workspaces is 'correct' and it is a bug in Firefox. Please also try logging into a Wayland session. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => firefox (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2056642 Title: drop down menu appears on another workspace To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/2056642/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2056689] Re: Maximized windows often overlap dock after unlock or app startup
I have previously enabled fractional scaling, which I thought was the cause of this issue, but after disabling it, the behavior has not improved. I now use a resolution of 1920x1080 at 60.03Hz and 100% scaling. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2056689 Title: Maximized windows often overlap dock after unlock or app startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/2056689/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2056671] [NEW] Gnome Shell Screencast does not capture mouse pointer
Public bug reported: Press the Print Screen button, select the Record Screen option and then press capture [1]. The screen recording works as expected however does not display the mouse cursor making it hard to use the screen capture for a tutorial without using a third-party capture device. The screen cast should capture the mouse pointer by default. Or [1] you include an option to show/hide the mouse pointer in the recording.
