[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 364091] Re: xrandr error with delmode
I'm also experiencing this bug. OS: Linux Mint 21.3 Xfce. I have an external monitor whose native resolution is 5120×1440 px. I earlier used it in a reduced resolution of 3840×1080 px, before figuring out how to get the native resolution. The command xrandr still lists the 3840×1080 mode I added earlier. I'd like to get rid of it, because (1) I don't need it anymore, and (2) for some reason, when I start up my computer, the external monitor's resolution defaults to it, and I'm thinking getting rid of the resolution might resolve the problem. Anyway, here are the outputs of some Bash commands I gave. "..." means elided rows. # xrandr -v xrandr program version 1.5.1 Server reports RandR version 1.6 # xrandr Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 5120 x 1440, maximum 16384 x 16384 eDP-1 connected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1920x1080 60.02 + 48.00 ... [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2060859] Re: Xorg freeze
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
