[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1111884]

2015-10-18 Thread S-bugzilla
What's the status of this bug. The last activity is from a year ago on
November 2014. I think I'm affected by this bug.

I filed this bug report at Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1378881

Which was marked as a duplicate of this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/884

My desktop is unusable. I know your all busy with life, but a little
reassurance that this is going to get fixed would be appreciated.

Thanks, Nate.

P.S. And if I can help out anyway I will. I used to build from source
years ago before Git came around, but I could learn fast on how to apply
patches from source if necessary if you teach me.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1043575]

2014-11-21 Thread Bugzilla-5-kyoo
I'm still getting emails. I switched from xfwm4 about a year ago. After
re-installing it, I'm not able to reproduce the problem, with or without
the patch. If it looks fixed to those working on it, that sounds good to
me.

2014-11-21 Thread Bugzilla-5-kyoo
Excuse me, I believe I used a patched version of xorg-server to try to
reproduce the problem -.- Nonetheless, what I said before holds true
since I no longer use xfwm4.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 516123]

2014-08-07 Thread Bugzilla-x
The patch at:
http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/13852/
still applies, but hasn't been reviewed since it was posted to the mailing-list
a year ago.

This patch would be useful to start using Xvfb in gnome-settings-
daemon's test suite.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 408903]

2014-06-11 Thread Bugzilla-x
(In reply to comment #23)
Current kernels have KEY_MICMUTE==248, i. e. X.org should be perfectly able
 to recognize this.

I'm not certain that's enough for X.org to be able to handle it. Any
changes to this should go in another bug anyway.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 408903]

2014-06-11 Thread Bugzilla-x
(In reply to comment #25)
  Current kernels have KEY_MICMUTE==248, i. e. X.org should be
perfectly able to recognize this. Apparently this was done in
  2011 already.

248 is the first linux kernel value which X cannot handle.

The mapping is +8, so 248 ⟹ 256, which does not fix in 8 bits.

(The first 8 are reserved – from way back – for the modifiers.)

So nothing to change until we're all using Wayland.

Created attachment 92710

I'm also getting regular Sandybridge GPU lockups with Mesa 10.0.1 and
Linux kernel 3.13.

dmesg output:

[ 918.876876] [drm] stuck on blitter ring

stack, including userspace.
[ 918.876879] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org
against DRI - DRM/Intel
[ 918.876880] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right
component if it's not a kernel issue.
[ 918.876880] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so

Unfortunately the crash dump doesn't help - it's an empty file!
