[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 840857] [NEW] Touchpad no longer working on Oneiric on Dell N3010
Public bug reported: I am testing the next release of Ubuntu and I found out that the touchpad is no longer working. I checked the Fn button and the touchpad is not disabled from hardware. Also left and right touchpad buttons are not working. I am able to use the same touchpad on Maverick. Thanks! [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 771716] Re: middle click emulation not working
I delete the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file with 'Option Emulate3Buttons' and started gpointing-device-settings again, enabled middle mouse emulation and set timeout to short. After this, the middle click emulation is working again. No need to edit any xorg.conf files. It looks like there is a problem with gnome settings. The touchpad is working in the Login windows, but stops working after the gnome session is started. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 771716] Re: middle click emulation not working
Here is the requested file. (It was taken on Maverick, but I hope it is ok.) Are there any drawback for enabling middle click emulation by default? I have an external keyboard and mouse attached to the laptop. The touchpad from the laptop has only 2 buttons. In Natty, pressing the 2 touchpad buttons in the same time triggers the middle click event. Pressing the 2 buttons from the external mouse does not trigger the event. In Maverick everything works fine. ** Attachment added: xinput-list.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/771716/+attachment/2092750/+files/xinput-list.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-evdev in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/771716 Title: middle click emulation not working ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 771713] [NEW] Image on external monitor is broken when only the external monitor is enabled
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel I have this strange regression in Natty. Everything was fine in Maverick. I have an intel core i3 CPU with the default video card. I connect the external monitor using the D-SUB (VGA) connector. First time when I have connected the external monitor, Ubuntu was trying to be smart and automatically enabled the external monitor and disabled the builtin monitor. The image on the external monitor was broken, flickering very hard and it was not possible to see anything on the screen. I pressed the external monitor key from the keyboard and `Display properties windows was opened with both monitors enabled. Now the image was stable on the external monitor. I tried various configurations, it it looks like the image on the external monitor is only broken when the internal monitor is turned off. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 533269] Re: External display not working
I don't know how to better describe this bug. The external monitor is just not working. It is enabled in gnome-display-properties but the external monitor is still not receiving any signal and remains in standby. Since this is a hardware specific problem you will need an ATI x300 card to reproduce it. Since Hardy, where everthing was perfect, the video support for this card got worse with each release so maybe Lucid is not supposed to be running on this computer and I should stop my upgrades at Karmic where I can get 1024x768 or use Hardy where I can use the full 1600x1050 resolution. I have attached a screenshot of gnome-display-properties. Feel free to mark it as won't fix. ** Attachment added: Captură-ecran.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/44825829/Captur%C4%83-ecran.png -- External display not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 188690] Re: does not create a PO template on build
I'm closing this bug for ubuntu-translations. I think it is easier to track each package that does not create a pot file in a separate bug report. libhildon is now in universe and it will no longer be imported in Launchpad Translations. ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: New = Fix Released -- does not create a PO template on build https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188690 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libxpm in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 418939] Re: Too many crimean tatar keyboard layouts added for Romania
Bhavani, Reşat what is your point of view regarding this issues. Please let us know! Looking at the wikipedia article about Crimean Tatars, we should add the layouts to Ukraine, as Ukraine is hosting the majority of Crimean Tatars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_Tatars In Romania we have a small number of tatars and if we are going to add specific keyboard for each minority we will end up with a list of about 30 layouts. Anyhow, grouping layout by Contry is not the right thing to do and layouts are associated with languages and not countries. My vote is for having the Crimean Tatars layout for Ukraine.
