[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 966744] Re: [i965] Resume from suspend leaves me with black screen or a screen of the desktop before it suspended. Compiz hung in intel_update_renderbuffers() from intel_prepare_r

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 995013] Re: Xorg freeze after lid closed/opened (screen turned off/on) several times
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 966744 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/966744 I can confirm this on the same system Thinkpad T61, kernel is i386, and intel grafic. I see it since an update from Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10. I used 12.04 with tuxonice kernel (from tuxonice ppa) and did not encounter this issue (though sleep/hibernate was never completely stabel). With 12.04 hibernate stopped working with tuxonice. With standard i386 kernel hibernate works only if I do sudo swapoff -a; sudo swapon -a immediately before. I use Ubuntu with a pretty different configuration running kde. This should allow to exclude many error sources including Compiz. Also I do not use Firefox. Probably it is worth trying an older kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995013 Title: Xorg freeze after lid closed/opened (screen turned off/on) several times To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/995013/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1060970] [NEW] Mouse pointer goes crazy
Public bug reported: After a while the mouse pointer runs over the screen along a straight line (upwards, downwards, diagonal etc.) if the numpad mouse was enabled using setxkbmap -option keypad:pointerkeys This bug will be difficult to reproduce as it seems to occur randomly and only in certain setups. I encounter it working under KDE 4.9 on Ubuntu 12.04 (also previous versions) which was why I asked here: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=111t=106913 I encounter it only working in dual screen setup with external keyboard and mouse (both Logitech) attached to my Lenovo T61 thinkpad. So far not if I do indeed use the numpad mouse but when it was left on unintentionally (not deactivated by pressing Shift+Num-Lock ). The movement of the pointer can be compensated by moving the mouse in the opposite direction but the pointer runs too fast to perform a secure logout/reboot. At the same time the system does not react to keyboard input. This is a serious bug which forces the user to force reboot the system without any chance to close unsaved files. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1060970 Title: Mouse pointer goes crazy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1060970/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
