[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1222602] Re: Bad performance on GMA950 and GMA3150

2013-09-09 Thread Andy Whitcroft
Ok I have the same symptoms on a Pineview (GMA3150), confirmed that
downgrading mesa also restores these three functions to normal. Dupped
my bug against this if you need specific H/W information.

** Summary changed:

- [gen3]Bad performance on i945
+ Bad performance on GMA950 and GMA3150

Ok this is confirmed as fixed by a mesa downgrade. Very likely this is
the same issue as filed under Bug #1222602. Reassigning and dupping.

** Changed in: unity
   Status: Triaged => Invalid

** Package changed: unity (Ubuntu) => mesa (Ubuntu)

Obvlously for this case simply installing linux-headers-lowlatency would
resolve things.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1070427] Re: fails to build due to missing kernel headers

2012-10-26 Thread Andy Whitcroft
@pitti -- I concur the common headers are not even guarenteed to exist
so it is not reasonable to have a way to depend on them, the linux-
headers in my mind does mean 'there are valid binary headers' so I would
expect that to be only on the complete headers. Will spin some patches.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1066883] Re: [Macmini 5, 1] Fatal server error: Can not run in framebuffer mode on reboot

2012-10-17 Thread Andy Whitcroft
@psivaa -- ok cool so that confirms it is most likely an initialisation
race. Could we get dmesg from a good boot (ie without the pack) and the
next bad boot (with the pack), and attach them to this bug please. Do
make sure they are clearly labelled :)

Thanks.

@psivaa -- when updating the kernel there on 20121001 can you confirm
that multiple boots were good. Also on the latest image (known bad)
does it work for the next boot if you remove /var/lib/ureadahead/pack
before reboot?
